i wonder what's so good about taylor swift. her songs are mediocre. and her live singing is not good at all (i watched the 52nd grammy, the only nice performances were bon jovi's, bocelli and blige's, maxwell's, zac brown band's and lady antebellum's) she's pretty and her songs are radio-friendly thought. and they call her music country.
anyway, i discovered a few nice songs after watching the show last night: lady antebellum's need you now, zac brown band's chicken fried, maxwell's pretty wings. and now i think country music is not bad after all. keith urban's good!
actually i wanted to write about something less trivial. about playing/making music and how it is related to human emotion and self control etc. how it is similar to playing sports, utilising technology, and living life itself. i've often thought of this since i read jeff beck's quote in one of the few guitar magazines i've read. he said that everything he plays is based solely on his emotion (anyway he performed in the 52nd grammy ceremony with imelda may, how high the moon, originally by les paul. ubercool!) but let's save this trivial matter for next time.
anyway, happy birthday ika!
